Pre-Service Teachers’ Computer Self-Efficacy and the Use of Computers

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects pre-service teachers’ computer self-efficacy on their use computers. research used a quantitative design whose data were collected by using structured five-point Likert scale questionnaire with responses ranging from 1(strongly agree) 5(strongly disagree). Simple random sampling select representative sample 400 participants population 4000 teachers, which 332 them successfully returned, yielding response rate 83%. employed Technology-Acceptance Model eight constructs, namely; demographic influence (DI), social (SI), basic skills (CS), access computers (AC), perceived ease (PEOU), usefulness (PU), (CSE), and actual (AU). Factor analysis analyse generated survey, help PLS-SEM, SmartPLS software version 3.0. findings indicated that each identified factors in model had significant effect CSE. In essence, explanatory variables explained 73.7% variance CSsE. four independent 45.4% PU 66.5% PEOU use. CSE also 60.6% order develop strong for it is recommended higher education institutions ensure all students have necessary computers, proper connectivity, skilled technicians.
